The Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) is building the next segment of CV Link in the City of Palm Springs. Construction crews will be installing a Class IV bikeway on Mesquite Ave between Sunrise Way and Compadre Rd that will consist of a dedicated lane separated by barriers to provide a safe route for bicyclists. All vehicle lanes will be shifted south a bit, while keeping one lane in each direction with the center lane for left turns. This project also includes a complete slurry seal of the roadway and CV Link’s signature blue and orange crossings at the intersection of Mesquite Ave and Farrell Dive, with re-striping of crosswalks and bike lanes at the intersection.
