CV LINK IS COMING TO YOUR AREA
SEPTEMBER 29, 2024 – MAY 30, 2025 | PALM SPRINGS & CATHEDRAL CITY
The Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) is building the next segment of CV Link in the cities of Palm Springs and Cathedral City. Construction crews will construct a concrete pathway along the top of the Whitewater River Stormwater Channel levee from Ramon Road to Date Palm Drive and up the Palm Canyon Wash through Golf Club Drive and Lawrence Crossley Road to Gene Autry Trail. On-street work will also be done on 34th Ave to connect the pathway back to the Whitewater River channel.
CV Link is a 40-plus mile pathway that is being built across the Coachella Valley to provide a safe route to walk, run, bike or use low-speed electric vehicles, such as golf carts. CV Link is expected to provide significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to generations of current and future residents and visitors to our valley.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Noise & Vibrations – Residents and businesses near the channel may experience periodic construction related noise or vibrations. Construction activities such as soil compacting, excavations, moving heavy machinery, etc., can cause ground borne vibrations that can physically be felt by neighboring properties.
Vehicle Traffic – Construction vehicles and heavy equipment may travel and/or be parked along the top of the levee.
Bike & Walking Path Closures – Parts of the Tahquitz Creek, Whitewater Trail, and other trails and pathways along the Whitewater River and Palm Canyon Wash levee may be closed during construction.
Every effort will be made to minimize any disturbance to the community. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. We appreciate your cooperation throughout this project. Due to the dynamic nature of construction, note that all dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen operational factors or inclement weather.
