CONSTRUCTION UPDATE | Sunrise & Mesquite Palm Springs

JANUARY 13-24, 2025 | 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Construction crews will be improving the corner of Sunrise Way and E. Mesquite Ave as part of the CV Link project led by the Coachella Valley Association of Governments. The project will include demolishing the existing corner and involve traffic control on Mesquite Ave and restricted pedestrian access during construction.

CV Link is a 40+ mile pathway being built across the Coachella Valley to provide a safe route to walk, run, bike, or use low-speed electric vehicles, such as golf carts. CV Link is expected to provide significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to generations of current and future residents and visitors to our valley.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Lane Closure & Traffic Control – Mesquite Ave will have a lane closure with flaggers to help direct traffic. Please plan ahead for delays or use alternate routes.

Sidewalk Access – The sidewalk along the north side of Mesquite Ave up to corner of Sunrise Way will be closed to pedestrians during construction.

Noise – Residents along Mesquite Ave may experience construction related noise during the day.

We appreciate your cooperation throughout this project. Every effort will be made to reduce the inconvenience to drivers and minimize any disturbance to the community. Due to the dynamic nature of construction, please note that all dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen operational factors or inclement weather.
