PATHWAY PAVING | Dinah Shore Dr. & 34th Ave
DECEMBER 23-24, 2024 | 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.
Construction crews will be paving the CV Link concrete pathway from Jenkins Trail across the Tahquitz Creek channel and along the top of the Whitewater River Stormwater Channel levee to the Dinah Shore Drive bridge. Crews will also pave the pathway on 34th Ave from Lawrence Street to Golf Club Drive.
CV Link is a 40-plus mile pathway that is being built across the Coachella Valley to provide a safe route to walk, run, bike or use low-speed electric vehicles, such as golf carts. CV Link is expected to provide significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to generations of current and future residents and visitors to our valley.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Noise & Vibrations – Residents and businesses near the channel may experience periodic construction related noise or vibrations. Crews will be paving during the day and saw cutting in the afternoon/early evening. Construction activities such as soil compacting, excavations, moving heavy machinery, etc., can cause ground borne vibrations that can physically be felt by neighboring properties.
Bike & Walking Path Closures – Parts of the Jenkins, Tahquitz Creek, and Whitewater Trail along with other trails and pathways along the Whitewater River and Palm Canyon Wash levee may be closed during construction.
Every effort will be made to minimize any disturbance to the community. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. We appreciate your cooperation throughout this project. Due to the dynamic nature of construction, note that all dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen operational factors or inclement weather.
